Contributor Stalking (The “Tea Eggs & Osso Buco” edition)

Do you wonder what the ML contributors do when they’re not eating lunch in Midtown? (We’re actually pretty easy to stalk!)

Rachel had short ribs at home, Brian checked out the All American at SmashBurger, Donny had dinner at Il Paiolo in Williamsburg, Blondie went to Dekalb Market for Dinner and a Movie, and Brownie tested recipes for Chinese Tea Eggs.

Elsewhere in the ML universe… Zach designed a two hour taco tour through Los Angeles, Jamie in Philly admits to a craving for Ikea’s Swedish Meatballs and Andrea reports on Okadaman, a new Japanese food truck that’s hitting the streets next month.

Outdoor eating is in full effect as Brian Googa’ed, Blondie Mooga’ed, and Brownie checked out the Vendy’s International Meats Local. Donny had fried chicken at Bobwhite Lunch and Supper Counter in Alphabet City, Rachel made fish tacos and I talked about my photo process at TechMunch.

Elsewhere in the ML universe… Jamie can’t find decent ramen in Philadelphia, Andrea discovered Greek food in a basement restaurant downtown and Zach is still on the search for good Vietnamese food in Los Angeles.

Rachel made a plea for Rick Bayless to bring Frontera Fresco to New York, Brian visited the Brooklyn and Kelso Breweries for his long-awaited beer episode, Donny cooked stewed lentils at home, Chris is back on the Flushing beat with a trip to Sura Chung for Serious Eats, Blondie went to The Bronx to find the best food in Yankee Stadium, Brownie celebrated the return of Wooly’s, the Vendy award winning shaved ice and I toured the street food on Roosevelt Avenue in Queens (along with Blondie and Donny).

Elsewhere in the ML universe… Jamie checked out the Mediterranean options at Baklava Cafe in Philly, Zach got the scoop on the new lunch menu at Chego in Los Angeles and Andrea pines for a proper burrito downtown.

Brian went to East Harlem for Al Pastor Tacos at Taco Mix, Donny is psyched about the return of the Red Hook Ballfield vendors, Blondie had Nacho Tots from Domo Taco, Brownie got a first look at the new Treats Truck shop, Chris had Lola’s Lamburger in Seattle, and I got a few of my Flatiron Lunch photos in the pages of Travel + Leisure magazine.

Elsewhere in the ML universe… Zach lists another 7 reasons to hate lunching in Los Angeles, Andrea had mind-blowing kati rolls in the Financial District and Jamie found a steakhouse burger for $8.37 in Philly.

For his upcoming beer video, Brian interviewed Garrett Oliver at the Brooklyn Brewery, Donny has a new installment in his Foodaisance series at Butter + Love, Rachel lunched at Urban Lobster Shack, Blondie recapped Choice Streets, Brownie enjoyed the sheep’s milk dumplings at Kefi and I got a preview of Bed-Stuy’s newest bar.

Elsewhere in the ML universe… Zach launched a Food is the New Rock podcast, Jamie checked out a truck that serves hamburgers and banh mi sandwiches in Philly and Andrea reported on a sustainable food truck event called International Meats Local downtown at New Amsterdam Market this weekend.

Blondie had grapes on a pizza and really liked it, Brownie explored Philly’s food truck scene, Brian talked beer making at Greenpoint Beer Works, Donny made that delicious looking Soft-shelled crab, above, Rachel had a peanut noodle salad from Republic and I’m heading to Tulum, Mexico next week.

Elsewhere in the ML universe… Andrea checked out a generic deli turned Chinese restaurant downtown, Jamie found all sorts of Mexican deliciousness at Archie’s in Philly, and Zach recommends six great lunches near The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in Los Angeles.

Easter Bunny was the snack of the week as Donny tried the rabbit stew from Sea Bean Goods and Brian had the Rabbit Pot Pie at The Dutch, Blondie loved Handsome Hank’s fish sandwich at Smorgasburg, Brownie made Pastiera di Grano, an Italian Easter pie, Rachel made a kosher for Passover turkey wrap and I am looking ahead to the next Bed-Stuy Crawl, this weekend.

Elsewhere in the ML universe… Andrea splurged on a lamb sandwich at Snack downtown, Jamie had congee and sticky meatballs in Philly and Zach is on vacation.

Brian had a round at Hell’s Kitchen’s new bar, Beer Market, Donny had a snack at Huckleberry Bakery in Los Angeles, Blondie fed her grilled cheese craving at Little Meunster in LES, Brownie has started planning out Easter dinner, Rachel made scrambled eggs at home and I remembered the chicharrones I had in Peru.
