Contributor Stalking (The “Mashed Potato Pizza” edition)

Donny went for the signature dish at Steak Frites, Blondie’s giving away a free Valentine’s Day gift set from With Love From Brooklyn, Brownie had a mashed potato pizza at Eli’s in Hamden, CT, Brian guzzled beer from a can for the Superbowl, Rachel had the Whiting Sandwich at Kim’s Aunt’s Kitchen, Chris enjoyed the fried delights at Tong Tong Tonkatsu in Flushing and I hosted a Bed-Stuy Bar Crawl.

Elsewhere in the ML universe… Jamie snacked on fourth generation meatballs at Dad’s Stuffing in Philly, Andrea gave readers a first peek at the new Food Truck Lot downtown and Zach profiled an LA luncher who carries Sriracha in her purse.

Chris showed Serious Eats readers Singapore’s 12 must try dishes, Brian drank beer and ate sausage at Jimmy’s No 43, Blondie surveyed the sweets in San Francisco, Brownie got thrifty with a $6 whole rotisserie chicken from Brancaccio’s, Rachel had grilled fish taco night and I photographed the kitchen at Do or Dine in Bed-Stuy.

Finalist 15: Cookie Time

Brownie needs your to like her Cookie Monster iphone cookies on Facebook so she can win a trip to Seattle, Blondie made us proud by stuffing her face in San Francisco, Donny mixed pork cracklings with brussels sprouts, Rachel baked cookies, Brian had the ribeye steak at Red Farm and I was also at Red Farm, where I photographed soup dumplings that ended up in today’s New York Times.

Brian’s search for the best beer bars in town took him to Chelsea Brewing Company, Donny roasted a pork shoulder, Rachel had a cupcake from Magnolia, Blondie found a Mac n cheese on a pizza, Brownie and Lawman were in Montreal and enjoyed Schwartz’s famous smoked meat sandwich and I took my Food/Work project into the kitchen of Little Brother, Brooklyn’s new BBQ spot.

Elsewhere in the ML universe… Out in LA, Zach checks out this brand new fast food neapolitan pizza joint opened by the owners of Umami Burger. In Philly, Jamie loves a Taiwanese meatball that may be best enjoyed with your eyes closed and Downtown, Andrea scouts out Prince Street Pizza in the old Ray’s Pizza space.

Brownie brought a tear to my eye with homemade brown buttered bacon doughnuts, Donny had dinner at Mary, Queen of Scots, Brian listed his top five dishes of 2011, Blondie does her own 2011 food recap, Chris checked out the new West Village Fatty Cue, Rachel brunched it up at One Hundred Acres and I’ve started a new photo project called Food/Work.

Elsewhere int he ML universe… Zach collected all the lunches he ate in 2011 in one gigantic photo, Jamie scored a banh mi at Philly Cafe and Andrea discovered a sandwich she calls a pork explosion in a generic deli downtown.

Donny got a behind the scenes look at Leckerlee, Brian goes searching for Santa in his new Christmas video starring The Treats Truck, Blondie had brunch at Colonie in Brooklyn Heights, Brownie explored Montreal’s cupcake options, Rachel whipped up a batch of chicken soup and I photographed last weekend’s Brooklyn Night Bazaar.

Around the ML universe… Zach discovers a food court he actually likes in Culver City, LA, Andrea had Asian fusion that redeems the genre at Hana, Downtown and Jamie found a better falafel option in Philly.

Blondie scored two hours of unlimited tacos at Tacombi in Nolita, Brownie is in the mood for holiday baking, Donny had an Italian dinner at Piccoli in Windsor Terrace, Brian asks readers what’s the best beer in and around New York, Chris points out some of South Korea’s must eats, Rachel is sending dispatches from her trip to Honolulu, where she’s eating well, and I watched San Francisco butcher, Ryan Farr taking apart a lamb.

Blondie went on a dessert spree at Dominique Ansel Bakery in SoHo, Brownie wrote about the Bushwick Campus Greenhouse project that the former Miss Softee is working on, Brian listed some of his favorite street food in town, Donny discovered lebkuchen, a German dessert at Leckerlee, Chris found five star soondubu at Virginia’s Lighthouse Tofu, Rachel ate garlic-yuzu kosho lamb chops at Japanese Grill and I started a new photo project for Nona Brooklyn called Food/Work.

Brownie found an under $10 brunch bargain at Le Paddock in Windsor Terrace, Blondie hosted a holiday cookie exchange for charity, Brian took his beer tour to the Brazen Head, Donny headed to Williamsburg for lunch at Diner, Rachel got into the cooler weather with some homemade chili, Chris made the trip to Long Island City for the Kansas City-style barbecue at John Brown’s Smokehouse and I had handmade squid ink pasta at Cicciolina in Cuzco, Peru.

Elsewhere in the ML universe… Zach found that the best Korean soup in Los Angeles might not be in Koreatown, Andrea tried the stewed chicken from Veronica’s Kitchen downtown and Jamie is declares that she expects more loco in her tacos than Philly’s Taco Loco truck provides.
