Lunch by Location

The Map may take a few seconds to load (please be patient). Once it does, use the buttons in the upper left hand corner of the map to zoom in on the location of your office and see what Midtown Lunches are in the area. If you would like to only see a certain kind of food, use the check boxes just below the map to show or hide each food type.

  • must add AKDENIZ on 46th bet. 5-6th avenues. Great Turkish dishes. My faves – chicken chops, skewered ground beef and the okra platters.
    Yes, they deliver.

The topic on this blog gives pretty accurate reviews on Japanese Rest. around Grand Central.

I recommend to go to Don-buriya on 47th and Lex. because they have on of the best DON menus in midtown if not the city. Tip: you can order half bowl of the donburi if you cannot finish the whole thing. They just give you half the size. Good for late night eats.

  • Probably the best Chinese,

    Wu Liang Ye

    38 and Lex

Absolutely fresh and perfectly created dishes.

  • Might want to check out Gourmet 53, it’s a fast paced salad/sandwich place, service reminiscent of the soup nazi.

Downstairs at the Atrium at 53rd and 3rd.

  • Go check out the Pranzo pizza truck on 55th and park
excellent pizza baked right on the truck.
lunch special 2 slices and a soda $5.00 they also had a great
rice ball, chick parm roll, calzones, eggplant parm rolls I tried them all and they were all excellent.

  • This is awesome

  • I just found out about this site on the Popsugar site. It’s awesome and I’ll definetley be back but as someone who’s been working in midtown for some time I’m surprised that you didn’t feature Pret (formerly Pret a Manger) Is it because they can be pricey or do they have some shady practices that I’m not aware of?

  • Yes!!!! Finally. Now I can stop trying to create my own Google map. The North-west corner is visibly naked though. The first place I’d add is Vizio. 255 W 55th St (between Broadway & 8th Ave). [www.vizio.us] Awesome burgers, pulled pork sandwich, “turkey filet mignon” sandwich, hand-cut fries, onion rings, etc…

  • Also, the Bouchon Bakery in the Time Warner Center… It’s difficult to get lunch for under $10 there, but you’ve mentioned it here before.

  • Hey we met for a minute awhile back at the david vandervelde show. I think you are friends with Michael Endelmen? Anyway, without futher ado, you have to try the cheeseburger at Houston’s. It kills any burger on your list. Because it’s a chain no one gives it props which makes it all the more interesting. Anyone i’ve taken there freaks the fuck out when they eat it. Best burger in NYC? Maybe…

  • Houston’s burger is great, but its significantly more than $10

  • For pizza you must try Torino’s deli, on 56th bw 5th and 6th. Delicious.

  • Sacco is one of my favorites for Midtown pizza btwn 54th & 55th on 9th

  • I know this might be juuust outside the limits, but Pizza Suprema on Eighth, near the corner of 32nd, ROCKS; if you haven’t tried it — for just plain, old-fashioned, Noo Yawk pizza (as spoken by a born and raised Noo Yawkah), then you really, really should. The Upside-Down pizza reminds me of Chicago style; but the rest… oh… my….

Here’s hoping you get a chance to check it out!

  • Thanks for this site… but you need to check out 9th Ave between 52nd and 53rd–Wondee Siam has a DELICIOUS “secret” menu with the best fried fish I’ve ever tasted in the city, and Ariana, an Afghan restaurant across the street, has these wonderful pumpkin turnovers. I am drooling on my keyboard.

  • Its Taj D(e)lhi chat not Dalhi – imagine if someone said New Yark City ..*cringes
