Yep, definitely the security settings at work blocking me from seeing any green pointers and the check-boxes. It works fine from home - and the map is great! sigh...

Yes. I usually use firefox and since the new website, the map shows up w/o the tags and sometimes when I click on the left column under Find Lunch: it says i don't have access unless I'm registered. so now i've registered just to make this comment...

Not me... the new map rules. 100 times better than the old one.

Zach,
Having no problem viewing the map w/MS Explorer 8 here.
Actually, viewing the Forums page is a visual treat, especially with that well-endowed blonde in the "loveaccess.com" advertisement on the left side of the page.
Really whets the appetite and the imagination there....

Works for me. Firefox 3.X on a Mac

Wow, the new map is amazing. Bravo!

I can't see the map using Firefox 3.0.11. Is there guidance for Firefox users? I have excepted the site from pop-up blocking. Not sure what else I can do. Ideas?
-
@jfmatthews - it still could be a security thing inside your work. do you have any other browser on your computer? or try viewing it from a co-workers computer. if it still doesn't work, your employer might be blocking the site

I can see the map, but I don't see any Midtown Lunch location icons. I tried with FF 3 and IE8.

Thanks for explaining why I will never be able to see the map, Zach. I've been trapped in the bowels of IBanking for years now so I'm used to being denied stuff. Is there any chance the old listings pages are still extant? Would you consider offering legacy links for those of us who will never, ever be able to change our security settings?

Can we get a Twitter tracker map as well to locate the trucks? That would be amazing since my work blocks all "social networking" sites including Twitter even though I'm just trying to get my lunch on! Bunch of Communists...thanks for the site!

I am using Google Chrome and do not see any pointers on the map. I used the map yesterday and it worked however I think Chrome updated itself this morning to the latest version and not it doesnt seem to work. :(

The mapped worked for me earlier in the week, but not now.

Hey guys... the map, and find food by name, location & food type pages were all not working for most of the day today. It was an issue unrelated to the one mentioned at the very top of this topic, and it has been fixed.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

I can see the map by location but can not see the Map by Name and Map by Food Type. My security setting is at Medium High. Help please?
-
P.S. I'm using IE 8

*sniff*sniff* someone smell a shill?
alam: this is probably not the right forum topic for shilling. You could have at least created a new topic for your store (and perhaps put more effort into your sales pitch)...
-
... and perhaps finished the website? ("Nice slogen comes here"?)
There isn't even a business address anywhere on the prefab'd website.

Having trouble with the map. It shows up, but there are no pins. And, I can't search by food type. I need to find out where the closest Chinese buffets are, stat!

Any tips for firefox users?
The site works on my computer on ie but not firefox so not blocked by employer - i just don't use ie.

I've been getting a few complaints from people who are having trouble viewing the map. If you are using Internet Explorer, and are seeing a blank square on the Map Page, it could be your security settings.
Go under Internet Options, and click on the Security tab. If the Security Level of your browser is set to "High" it will block you from seeing the map. Change it to "Medium High" and the map should work again.
If that doesn't work, or you do not have permission to change your security settings at work, you'll probably need to check with your IT department.
Anybody else still having trouble with this? Let us know by commenting below.
UPDATE: Map/Lunch by Location page, the Lunch by Food Type page, and Lunch by Name page all work from the same technology. If you are not seeing one, it is possible that you may not be able to see them all. This all stems from the same issue.
