Comfort Diner is Back Open?: A little over a year ago the Comfort Diner (on 45th btw. 2+3rd) lost its lease, and Crain's reported that it was closed down for good.  Well, yesterday Lunch'er Maria sent word that it has reopened (she passes by it every day on her way to work.)  Great news for grilled cheese and milkshake fans.

$1 Goodburger Alert: Looking for a super cheap late lunch (or early dinner?) In honor of National Burger Month, Goodburger will be dishing up single burgers with the works for a single (aka $1) every Wednesday in May from 3-5pm.  Maximum of 5 burgers per customer, for in-store purchase only.

$5 Little Bucks & Eggplant Parms: The rain can't stop the ML Twitter Tracker....TriTip has the $5 Little Buck special until 3pm, Papa Perrone on 55th with eggplant parm, Crisp's Truck is on 33rd, Big D's Grub is on 40th, Eddie's Pizza is on 46th, Kimchi Taco is on 52nd, and Comme Ci, Comme Ça is on 55th.

Cafe R Salad Bar is Half Price All Week: If you still haven't been to the new massive food court, Café R (32nd btw 6+7th), well then this might get you to go. Fellow Lunch'er Chrissy just tipped us off that this whole week their hot and cold salad bar is half price (down to $3.50/lb from $6.99).

Half off Schnitzel Express: It's been a year and a half since Schnitzel Express took over the City Burger space on 39th btw. B'way+6th Ave. and we're kind of ashamed to admit we've never tried.  Maybe this will be a good catalyst... In Bundles is offering $14 worth of food from Schnitzel Express for just $7.

Five Guys is Better Than In N Out!?: Even though Five Guys (shockingly) won last year's ML Reader's poll for best burger in Midtown, we seriously doubt it would have a chance in a head to head battle with In N Out Burger, should one ever come to NYC.  And yet, on Thursday Zach admitted that now that he has constant access to In N Out, he gets a bit more excited about Five Guys.
