AWESOME! This is a block away from me! Now I can eat cannolis and pretzels for dinner!!!!!! For a month!!!!!

    Thanks!
I went today and loved it. I tried the Nunu chocolates, feta olive pretzel from Sigmund Pretzel, the hibiscus cream soda from P+H, the Vinh Asiadog, and the chicken liver baguette from Meunier. The Asiadog was skippable (I was hoping it would be similar to Japadog in Vancouver, but alas it wasn't). Everything else was awesome!
I hope to return in a few days and try the Roberta's pizza, the beef brisket or pulled pork sandwich from one of the stands, and maybe Goat Town ice cream.
I have already tried People's Pops in Chelsea Market and Milk Bar in midtown, so can pass on those.

The weather is nice, and this is a nice event. A little pricey, though, be warned. But a nice idea. Thanks for the heads up!

oh, and I read that Calexico cart will be there all summer, so try to hit up the other carts first that will be gone in a few weeks.

I agree with chowsue---asia dog is totally skippable. I am glad I tried it, but I won't be ever bothering again. $4.50 for a hot dog 2 for 8....not worth it. But generally, everyting there is super pricey (except the pretzels $3 each and cannolis (3 for $5), which I find to be worth the price)...

  7. I hate this place! just went here any had one of the worst lunch experiences. Way too many people pushing and shoving. lots of waiting in line. Waited 1/2 hour for a burrito at Calexico. it was good, but i would have been happier at Qdoba. Thoroughly unpleasant experience.

Half my office is there right now....I passed. Much better to get there early on a Saturday morning.

  9. This is foodie-ism at its worst. Do we really need more lunch choices in that neighborhood? no. take your traveling show to some under served neighborhood like East New York.

I got there at 11:30am, and encountered no lines at all. I took my lunch over to the park and ate. It was awesome!! It was way too pricey though.

That's my complaint as well. Pretzels aren't too bad-- I don't think the cannolis are either--pricewise. But 13 bucks for a burger and fries---FU! It's not hillstones sitdown with waiter service! I still want to try the pizza--I have heard good things about it.

  12. Makes one appreciate Shake Shack even more.

Warren, please say you are kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!
