Win Lunch For a Year from Roti Mediterranean Grill, Opening Friday

Midtown will be welcoming a new lunch restaurant later this week, when Roti Mediterranean Grill opens on 43rd St. (btw 3rd+Lex) on Friday. Roti is a build-your-own type of place that offers “healthful” Mediterranean cuisine, including pita sandwiches, salads, and rice platters. Andrea has been to the location downtown if you’re interested in reading more. And in celebration of the new location, Roti will be giving away free lunch for a year to one lucky winner, plus free lunch for a month for 10 more.  Enter to win here.

Roti’s Midtown Location Looks Far From Finished

We reported back in February that Roti Mediterranean Grill was opening a location on 43rd St. (btw Lex+3rd) in Midtown East. According to their signage, the spot is due to open this summer, but the days are getting shorter and time is running out for them to deliver on that promise. I walked by the location recently and, as you can see in the photo above, it doesn’t look close to opening. It might be a while before we get to try their healthier version of street meat in Midtown.

Roti Mediterranean Grill and Simply Sliders Coming to Midtown

Is Midtown ready for another build-your-own lunch chain? Roti Mediterranean Grill, which was scheduled to open its first New York location downtown last month, is set to open another location this summer on 43rd St. in between Lexington Ave. and 3rd Ave. Roti’s menu consists of pita sandwiches, salads, and rice platters with grilled meats, vegetables, and falafel. But with Crisp and Naya Express just around the corner, plus Hot Clay Oven moving in, will Roti be able to compete?
