Friday, March 25 marks International Wafel Day and once again Wafels & Dinges will offer a FREE WAFEL to customers “fully dressed in our Belgian tri-color on Friday, March 25.” That’s black, yellow, and red. This is seriously upping the ante from last year when you only needed to wear yellow. No word on if a black, yellow and red post it note tie will cut it (though I’m guessing not with the “fully dressed” requirement.) Freeloaders, check your closets!

If you don’t mind giving up your cell phone number, Tenka has offered some pretty great food truck freebies through their service.   But nothing like this!  Today they launched what they’re calling the “First Annual Virtual Food Truck Festival” featuring 10 simultaneous freebies, from 10 great food trucks- most of whom park in Midtown at least one day a week.  Unlike most deal sites, this isn’t a discount… it’s straight up free food. The catch is only the first 100 people who bring the coupon to each food truck score the freebie, so you’ve got to be quick.  Check out all ten freebies here>>

It’s St. Patrick’s Day! Timing for the eating o’ the green treats. If you’re courageous enough to brave the emerald clad revelers, there are some St. Patty’s Day treats awaiting you at Treats Truck including: cupcakes, crispy treats, and four leaf clover sugar cookies. And Robicellis is now delivering to Joe the Art of Coffee in Grand Central on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so Joe should have a selection of their holiday cupcakes: Irish Soda Bread (with a clotted cream buttercream & Drambuie soaked raisins), Irish Coffee (Bailey’s-espresso cake & buttercream, ganache, crushed white chocolate) and the Car Bomb (Chocolate Guinness stout cake, Bailey’s buttercream, Jameson whiskey ganache). Lily O’Brien’s will be getting a delivery of these flavors tomorrow for those of you still celebrating on Friday (or needing something to get over your hangover).

Also Shake Shack is serving up Mint Chocolate Chip Custard, and if you tell your server “Get Lucky” at The Counter in Times Square they’ll give you a green beer or green shake for just $3. “Like” The Counter on Facebook and show it to them (on your phone or a printout) they’ll give you the shake for free.

As you may or may not know I kind of love breakfast at Tri Tip Grill (in the Rock Center Concourse), so I was pretty excited to see this deal in my Rock Center tenant newsletter: Purchase a breakfast burrito anytime during the month of Feb. and get your choice of a buck muffin or brandy french toast for free!
