Tri Tip Also Does French Toast for Breakfast

Tri Tip

I like to start my day with breakfast, but some days I just don’t have the time to get some grub going before I get to work. Jeremiah’s post about Tri Tip’s new breakfast sandwich looked pretty awesome, so I decided to check out their breakfast offerings myself.

Tri Tip French Toast

In addition to the Tri Tip Breakfast sandwich, I noticed that they were also serving up some French Toast for the same price ($5 with tax). I love French Toast so I had to give it a shot. You get two decent sized pieces of toast (cut into 4 triangles) with a few pieces of fruit along with butter and syrup. The French toast is already lightly sweetened, so if you’re not a big sweets fan you might skip the maple syrup here (or at least go easy on it). The French Toast itself was fairly light and definitely cooked through all the way (undercooked French Toast is a pet peeve of mine). Unlike many places in midtown (and beyond) they grill these pieces to order rather than warming existing pieces, always a plus. While French Toast alone may never be a top breakfast choice for serious steak lovers, it’s a tasty alternative for the rest of us.
