Are Little Thai Kitchen’s Lunch Specials Worth the Extra $1?
People have always told me that Little Thai Kitchen (on 53rd btw. 2+3rd) is a cut above the rest of the Thai restaurants in the neighborhood, but their lunch specials start at $11 so I hadn’t really been too motivated to try it. But recently, curiosity got the best of me so I headed over to check out what they had to offer.

Checking Out Seoul Food’s Bibimbap From a Truck
I’ve been curious to try the Seoul Food Truck ever since Anna and Donny both tried it earlier this year. I’m surprisingly not tired of the Korean taco phenomenon yet, but when I saw they’re offering bibimbap from a truck, my curiosity really peaked.

Best Bar & Burgers: Where You Can Eat, Drink and Hookah
If you like to eat, chances are you like to drink (read: a lot of you are freakin’ lushes), so I thought maybe it was time to introduce a happy hour column to the site. Every week, our Happy Hour Correspondent posts about a different bar in Midtown that fits the Midtown Lunch mentality: unhealthy food, not lame (unless it’s lame in a cool way), and most importantly… cheap.
I’m normally not one to host a happy hour in a bar and grill, but when you call yourself “Best Bar & Burgers” … well, this “fat kid” just can’t help herself. With a flashing “bar” sign hanging above its door and a hookah silhouette on its awning, you’d be amiss not to instantly spot this place.
Walking into the patron-less bar, I wondered if this would be a huge mistake. Curiously (and more selfishly, looking out for the future of my stomach), I asked the manager, David, if and when the restaurant would pick up. Being that the restaurant opened just four months ago (taking over what formerly was 36 West), and offers happy hour specials ($4 well drinks and $3 domestic bottles, which consisted of Bud/Bud Light and Coors/Coors Light) starting at 7 pm when most other bars end theirs, Best Bar & Burger lights up around 7:30.

Banzobar Reverses Its Name, Raises Prices
Last summer, Barbanzo opened in Midtown East, serving average falafel/hummus/shwarma fare. Chris tried the falafel platter back in August and reported back without much enthusuasm. I was walking by recently and noticed that the name had changed to Banzobar (I actually had to read it a few times to make sure it wasn’t my eyes playing tricks on me), so I went in to see if anything else had changed.

Flatiron Lunch: Foragers Hitting Stride With Butcher Sandwiches
Every Friday we go south of the ML boundaries in search of a delicious lunch. Sometimes it’s Murray Hill south or the Flatiron District, sometimes Gramercy and everything in between- but we just like to call it Flatiron Lunch.
As you probably already heard (because, really, there was an insane amount of press), Foragers City Grocer aka Foragers Market, a grocery institution that has been providing a curated market experience (aka upscale grocery store) in Dumbo, has landed in Chelsea. In terms of produce and roast chicken, they seemed to have it figured out from early on. I know this because a woman in there told me that she had a “problem” – she had bought about a dozen roast chickens in as many days during their first two or three weeks of being open. In contrast, the sandwich options have been a bit of a mess throughout the growing pains. So after a few visits (for science, of course), I feel that it might finally be hitting its stride. It doesn’t hurt that many of the sandwich prices have come down. As Rachel asked just this week, who actually lowers prices?
