The Rotisserie at The Porch (30th St Station)

I was invited to check out the new food truck permanently stationed at 30th St (for the summer). From a place where commuters merely passed through, to a place to sit and relax, “The Porch” has gone through an amazing transformation in the past few years. Recently, food trucks rotated in for lunch service. As of the end of May, The Rotisserie, a Michael Schulson creation (Sampan), took over the vending, serving lunch daily as well as dinner and drinks Wednesday- Saturday.

AYCE Pork Tonight?

While 5pm isn’t technically lunch, this deal is too good to not share. Tonight, and every Monday this summer from 5pm on, Cuba Libre is hosting a $25 all you can eat pig roast featuring a huge piggy slow roasting all day on the streets of Old City in the “Caja China.” I was invited for a porky preview.

Hand Shaved Noodles and Tuna Dumplings at UCity’s Chattime

In Univiersity City,  up on a commerical strip that includes a pizza place, frozen yogurt shot, and a Wawa sits Chattime, a hand drawn noodle and sushi restaurant.  Usually these two types of meals are not found alongside each other.  But I was brave and craving something slurpy,  so I made my way in.  Inside, lunch service was bustling and service was extremely efficient. It had more seating than I anticipated.
