Free Cookie Alert: The Treats Truck (with the help of Tivo) will be getting into the X-Mas spirit Thursday (on 38th & 5th) by giving away 1000 free cookies starting around Noon. We also hear there may be a guy dressed in some sort of a Tivo outfit (which I suppose could make good fodder for next year's Halloween contest.)

Possible Free Burrito Alert: Just got word that a new Chipotle is opening on 37th and 7th. tomorrow, which means tonight from 5-8pm they'll be giving away free burritos. Technically you're supposed to have an invitation (which they've been handing out around the hood) but if you work in the area it might be worth swinging by. The worst they can do is turn you away!

Free Dessert Reminder: The Time Warner Center/Shops at Columbus Circle will be lighting their "holiday stars" tonight, and to celebrate they'll be giving out desserts from some of their restaurants. Free Cheesesteak Alert: Thanks to Lunch'er CDB for this tip... The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp will be at Shorty's tomorrow (on 9th Ave. btw. 41+42nd) giving away free cheesesteaks right before Game 1 of the World Series. According to Grub St. the giveaway is "shorty sized cheesesteaks" and lasts from 4pm until the game starts at 7:57pm. Clearly no self respecting Yankees fan will indulge in such a promotion, but that leaves more for the rest of us!

Here we go again… on Monday select KFC locations will be giving away free Kentucky Grilled Chicken (one piece per person.) After the Oprah/Coupon debacle back in May, it’s kind of surprising… although one free piece of chicken per person should work a little smoother. According to a PR representative for Riese, their Manhattan KFC locations are all participating. Get the full list here>>
