Just in case you can’t wait until Thursday for turkey, cranberry, and stuffing, Certé has got you covered. In our latest holiday video, we document the Getting Thanks, Certé’s special November sandwich which includes turkey meatloaf, cranberry ketchup, and a green bean casserole. And since this is Thanksgiving, I thought it was only appropriate to bring my family along. Check out the Thanksgiving food porn and the traditional frustrations, headaches, and guilt after the jump…

Certe’s November Sandwich Started Today

Certe‘s November sandwich hits today, and not surprisingly, it’s Thanksgiving themed. They also tweeted a photo of the giving thanks sandwich, which includes turkey meatloaf, cranberry ketchup and string bean casserole. It kind of reminds me of Milkbar’s Thanksgiving croissant (which is now on their menu, btw), in that it’s Thanksgiving leftovers in a nice little package. I wonder if Certe’s version will also become one of our favorite turkey dishes in Midtown?

Certe’s October Sandwich is A Pair of Mighty Fine Balls

I have no doubt that this review is going to be laden with double entendres. And if I don’t point them out as we go, I’m sure all our commenters will. The snickers can start with the name of Certé’s October sandwich, Two Balls. It’s actually two sandwiches for the price of one. You get a parmesan meatball slider and a spinach knish meatball slider. The word “slider” had me concerned that I wouldn’t get my fill of balls. I was anticipating two small bites, but I should have known better.

Certe’s October Specials Begin Tomorrow: It's October, which means Certe and Pizza by Certe are launching their monthly specials. Tomorrow look for the "Autumn Sprouts" pizza, which includes butternut squash fondue, roasted baby Brussels sprouts, nitrate-free pancetta and fresh mozzarella. The October sandwich is a bit meatier. The "Two Balls" sandwich is actually two meatball sliders and will run you $8.95. One is a Parmesan meatball slider, and the other a spinach knish meatball slider.

Cer Te Launches September “Hot Pocket”: Cer Te launches their September sandwich today and finally tweeted about the ingredients (with a pic!) this morning. It sounds more like an empanada to me, but they're calling it a lamb hot pocket. Red wine braised lamb, goat cheese potato puree, sauteed kale (really?) and shallots all live inside smoked paprika pasta pocket that will run you $8.95. Sounds like a lot of stuff, but Cer Te usually knows what they're doing ...

Cer Te’s July Sandwich Is The P.I.G.: Certe is launching their July sandwich of the month today (the 11th!?), but when you hear what's in the it you'll probably forgive them for their tardiness. The “P.I.G.” (which stands for pork including grits) is $8.95 and includes BBQ pork belly, cheese grits, spicy fried pickles on a corn ciabatta. Early adopters, I can't wait to hear what you have to say about this one!

Cer Te’s Monkey Business Cupcake Is Somebody’s Dream Come True

Remember back in March when Cer té launched a contest to create your own cupcake flavor? Well, somebody’s dreams are finally coming true. They launched the first of their “My Dream Cupcake” series yesterday with the Monkey Business. It’s a maple cake with a caramelized banana filling and topped with nutella frosting and a peanut brittle garnish. It’s $3.25 and will be available through the end of June and then presumably another winner’s flavor will be revealed next month. I wonder if this will be an ongoing thing like their sandwich of the month. They’re definitely keeping things fresh over there.

Cer Te Keeps The Awesome Sandwiches Coming

We’ve sang the praises of Certé for years now, but I’m continually amazed by the versatility and inventiveness of their food. On the surface, this place looks like any other generic deli, but the sandwiches are far superior and always affordable. When it was announced that the May sandwich was a “Chip & Crab Dip Sandwich,” there was a little tug of war among the ML contributors as to who would actually get to taste this bad boy. Needless to say, I won.

Cer Te’s May Sandwich Launches Today: It's a new month, which means a new Certe sammie is coming your way, and I gotta say, May's sandwich makes me drool on my desk just a little bit. The "chip & crab dip" sandwich includes ale-battered soft shell crab over bibb lettuce with remoulade sauce on a toasted potato roll. The sandwich comes with sea salt smoked paprika potato chips and will run you $8.95. Early adopters, let us know in the comments if this is as good as it sounds!

April Showers Bring Cuero de la Cocina to Cer Te

April is well under way, which means we are a couple of weeks into Certe‘s latest Sandwich of the month, the “Cuero de la Cocina” ($9.75). It consists of pork belly mole, spicy cabbage & green mango shred, Anaheim chili, and black bean puree on a soft torta. I’ve been on a bit of a torta kick recently, so obviously when I saw pork belly and green mango I ran over there as fast as my little legs could carry me.
