Taim Mobile to Attempt Midtown Today!: Falafel lovers rejoice... Taim Mobile is coming to our hood today. As of now they're saying 47th btw. Park+Lex around 11:30am, but as you know things can change pretty quickly here in Midtown. Follow them on Twitter or the ML Twitter Tracker to be sure. And if you want a look at what the truck will be selling, Andrea posted a first look on the Downtown site.

Looking For Latkes?: Man, Chanukah snuck up on us this year! Looking for a potato pancake fix? Our recommendations from a few years ago still stand up, although sadly the Diamond Dairy is no more. There's also 2nd Ave. Deli and that potato pancake sandwich from Junior's.

December Custard Calendar is Very XMas-ey: A new month means a new line up of custard flavors at the Shake Shack (on 8th Ave. and 44th). There's Candy Cane Crunch (Fri), Gingerbread (Sat), Spiced Apple Cider (Sun), Eggnog (Mon), Figgy Pudding (Tues), Panettone (Weds), and today’s flavor: Chocolate Orange Chestnut Swirl. The Gingerbread custard is quite good, too bad it's only on Saturdays. Bah humbug.

Be on the Food Network: The Food Network will be taping a short segment at the Treats Truck this morning and they're hoping that some of their regulars come by to make it on TV. The truck will be parked on 38th and 5th starting around 11am with a full truck load of treats (plus extra kitchen sink krispies.) Don't want to be on TV? It will be business as usual from Noon to 3pm.

Korilla & Mexicue Make the Times: Today's $25 and Under column in the New York Times features two of the newer Midtown food trucks, Korilla BBQ and Mexicue. The take away? Korilla is inconsistent but has longer lines and larger servings, while Mexicue's food is "gorgeous" and tastes better.

Psych! No Taim Mobile in Midtown Today: Shorty after we rejoiced in the news that Taim Mobile would be spending their first official day in Midtown, they sent this disappointing message. (Spoiler: They're going to wait a bit longer before coming to Midtown.) As smart as we know it is for food trucks to get settled before braving the Midtown Lunch crowds, it still hurts a bit...

A Look at Pizza By Cer Te’s Sustainable Side: Our posts about Pizza by Cer Te (on 56th btw. Lex+Park) focus mostly on how the pizza by tastes, but if you're curious about the whole "green" aspect of the business the blog "Have You Ever Picked a Carrot" has a pretty in depth look at what makes the place environmentally friendly.
