Kati Roll Launches Diwali Lottery: Totally forgot to mention this one earlier today!  This afternoon the original Kati Roll (on 39th btw. 5+6th) launched a lottery for free kati rolls in honor of Diwali.  Everybody who buys food from Kati Roll this week will receive a lottery ticket, and winning numbers will be announced once an hour via their Twitter account beginning soon.

Pee Wee Herman’s 4Food Burger is a Winner: Remember when Pee Wee Herman stopped into 4Food (on 40th and Mad) last month? Well, he designed a burger that is now on the menu and Burger Conquest has declared it "a wonder to behold." It's called the Growing Boy and features a beef patty topped with onions, potato chorizo hash, smoked mozzarella, sopressata & sweet chili, served on a multi-grain bun. Nice.

Friday Tri Tip Slider Special: Looking for a late lunch? Tri Tip Grill in the Rock Center Concourse started a new Friday only slider special today:  3 sliders, melted cheese, caramelized onions, and your choice of red ranch or horseradish sauce for $7.99.  From the owner: "Cucina and Co does a slider Friday and they do very well-- but ours are tastier (and a better deal.)"  Gauntlet thrown.

Free Whoopie Pie Alert: As much as it pains us to promote UGGs, when free whoopie pies are involved how can we not?!  Starting at 11:30am today the Street Sweets truck will be parked on Madison and 58th, in front of the brand new UGG store, handing out free whoopie pies.  Freeloaders engage.

Apple Cupcake Battle: Fork in the Road pits the apple crumb cupcake from Crumbs (in Grand Central) against the apple-maple crisp cupcake from Robicelli's (available at Lily O'Brien's) and begrudgingly declares Crumbs the winner.

Mr Potato Skin to Make a Comeback on Tuesday?: After we mentioned yesterday that Eater had given props to the Mr. Potato Skin sandwich we got this message from Cer Te (on 55th btw. 5+6th): Chef Edward said he would bring back the sandwich this Tuesday if enough people said they want it. So...? Do enough people want it?

Last Chance For Kelvin Slush & Salty Pimp: Neither Kelvin Slush nor the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck spend much time in Midtown, but both are closing for the winter at the end of this week- so a special trek south might be in order.
