Treats Truck and Miss Softee Team Up to Make Ultimate Ice Cream Sandwich

mashup

Ask and ye shall receive!!! Miss Softee (who we profiled on Tuesday, from the Queen Frostine crew) has teamed up with the Treats Truck to create an ice cream sandwich! A squirt of soft serve, sandwiched between two (delicious) Treats Truck chocolate chip cookies.  Amazing… don’t let the weather discourage you from this one.  I love it when insane dreams become a reality.  Oh, and did I mention it’s only $4 (which is a great deal considering the two cookies alone from the Treats Truck would cost $2.)

Check out a photo of this wonderful creation after the jump…

The sandwich is available at Miss Softee’s Mister Softee truck, parked on the SW corner of 40th and 5th.  She’ll be there until tonight… although I doubt the cookies will last that long.  Follow her on Twitter (or the Midtown Lunch Twitter Tracker) for detailed updates throughout the day.

They’re REALLY good but very difficult to eat. Since she makes them on the spot the ice cream is obviously very soft, so it gets messy.

Did I mention she’s hot? Damn!

  4. That is a cruel cruel tease! I want one now!

  5. looks really good!

    Hope you got some friends.

  7. It’s probably wise to ask for this as two openface cookie sandwiches.

damn, adam jumped on my idea before I could type it out… he is reading my mind.

  9. Can she make it with chocolate ice cream instead? Probably? MmMmmM.

  10. just had one with the smaller darker cookies. adam and dubs are right. there is no biting down on those without getting covered in soft serve.

a little bummed that the cookies were smaller and still the thing costs four bucks. 3 would have been better.

  11. guys, this has been a wicked successful experiment! one sammie away from sold out as I write this. thinking maybe this becomes a regular thing? we can experiment with other cookies. sounds like choc chip was more popular than the cakester. I’d love to do a pb&j too!!

    what do you think?

  12. yea you can tell just by looking that it’s gonna be an incredible workout for your tongue.

  13. yes please! but forget about the cakester. it’s not chewy enough and it’s just not as good.

  15. let’s take this to “missed connections”, eh Mike?

  16. That’s so awesome!

Some freezing is necessary in order to make sure the ice cream is not runny.

  17. I’d be down for the peanut butter cookie…with chocolate ice cream please.

  18. It’s nice to see the vendor’s getting along for once.
