I wanted to look back at 2015, to see which meals were the most tantalizing according to you (or the folks who follow me on instagram)! It’s always good to have a refresher.  As expected, my top 9 photos of 2015 were mostly food related:

My favorite food memory out of this group may have been the khachapuri, just because I was so excited to try Georgian food. Which is your favorite?

Croissants and Banh Mi from Artisan Boulanger Patissier

That trip to Montreal really had me craving French pastries. I knew it was finally time to get down to Artisan Boulanger Patissier.  ABP moved from South Philly to the E Passyunk area in 2013, bringing their French pastries and adding a small menu of savory sandwiches. Reading up on ABP had been very promising- people rave about the croissants and they are often sold out by the afternoon.

Lunch Links (The “Turkish Food Fight” Edition)

  • You should already know, but Little Lion and Revolution Taco both opened this week [Foobooz]
  • Cafe Fulya is closing, but- the current owners are looking to reopen elsewhere and the current landlord is looking to reopen in the same spot with a revamped menu including pizzas, which I really hope are Turkish pizzas [The Insider]

Lunching in Montreal

Indonesian Lamb Fried Rice

Indonesia Restaurant on Snyder is easily the least divey Indonesian food establishment in Philly. The last time I wrote about it was back in 2010. I enjoyed my meal but didn’t love all of the dishes recommended to me by the waiter. For this visit, I took complete charge of the ordering.
