It’s not often that you come across a lunch that’s spicy across the board, but that’s what I found the other day when I finally had a chance to stop by the Desi Food Truck, aka the latest truck to decamp to the Financial District after being kicked out of midtown. Free Whoopie Pies On Twitter Tracker: There's a lot of truck action in Soho today, according to the ML Downtown Twitter Tracker. Sweetery is on Hudson with free whoopie pies if you pay with a Visa card. Korilla BBQ is on Front, Frying Dutchmen is covering for Gorilla Cheese on Varick, and Wafels & Dinges has a cart on Greenwich in Tribeca and the truck on Hanover Sq. Red Hook Lobster is on Charlton, the Jalapeno Truck is on Hudson and La Cense is on Wall.

If Korean fried chicken doesn’t sound great in the sweltering temperatures, Bon Chon on John (btw. Cliff & Pearl) has added some new menu items. A signboard out front says they have a bulgogi noodle salad along with some new alcoholic drinks because nothing says “summertime lunch” like throwing back a mojito at a Korean restaurant.
