Mad For Chicken is Same As it Ever Was
Serious Eats New York hits up Mad For Chicken (on 5th Ave. btw. 31+32nd) and determines something that Midtown Lunch’ers confirmed back in May when the switch was first made. The owner/operators didn’t change, just the name, so the chicken is pretty much exactly the same as it was when it was Bon Chon (except the spicy chicken might be a little spicier?)
The real taste test will happen when Bon Chon and Kyochon finally open their new Midtown locations, and we can have a three way death match!

They use to have signs that said May 09 i think and they took it down.
I actually like BonChon / Mad for Chicken better than Kyochon…. Mad for Chicken is crispier…

Zach, you should try “Baden Baden” in K-Town for one of your Happy Hour things…
The fried chicken there (while not as good as Mad For Chicken) is still pretty good and a different style than MFC.

there are signs on kyonchon that say it opens in january
