Grand Gourmet Returns and So Does Your Chance to Score VIP Tix

Once again, there will be a big food festival inside Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Station called Grand Gourmet. This is a huge event where food businesses from the area set up shop and serve some of their best dishes. Not only do you get all this food in one place, but it’s a chance to try some higher end restaurants that are a little out of the usual ML price point. Tickets are $125 for general admission and include all the tastings, plus net proceeds go to charity (to local homeless service programs in the neighborhood).

If that’s a little out of your price range, here’s your chance to score a pair of VIP tickets to the event on Thursday, May 7, which will last from 7:00 (6:15 for VIPs)-9:30pm. Just take a look at the list of participating restaurants and tell us which you are most excited to try and why in the comments below. We will randomly pick a winner on Thursday, April 30 at 3pm. For more information, click here and to purchase tickets, click here.

Win A Pair of VIP Tickets to the Grand Gourmet

The annual Grand Gourmet is returning to Grand Central Station on Thursday, May 1. On that evening, hungry attendees will descend on Vanderbilt Hall to sample as many dishes from the neighboring restaurants, bars, and cafés as humanly possible. Returning favorites like Grand Central Oyster Bar and Tulsi will be side by side with new additions Shake Shack (new to the terminal) and Vitae. Proceeds from the event support a neighboring homeless shelter and leftover food will be donated to City Harvest. General admission tickets are $125, but once again we’re offering two VIP tickets (a $700 value). All you have to do is leave a comment about which restaurant you’re most interested in trying and why. The list of participating venues and tickets can be found here. We’ll choose a name at random on Thursday, April 24 at 3pm.

Score Two VIP Tickets to Grand Gourmet

Once again, we’re giving away two VIP tickets to Grand Central Partnership’s annual food festival. You may remember from year’s past that Grand Gourmet brings over 30 of the neighboring eating establishments together for a night of eating, drinking, and celebration in Vanderbilt Hall. Check out my delicious re-cap from last year’s event. The proceeds go to the Grand Central Neighborhood Social Services Corporation, which is a not-for-profit homeless services provider. For that reason, tickets aren’t cheap ($125 for general admission), but we’re giving away two VIP tickets (a $700 value!) to one lucky reader. The event is on Thursday, May 2 from 7-9:30pm and all you have to do to win is check out the list of vendors here and let us know which one you’re most excited for. A winner will be chosen at random on Thursday, April 25 at 3pm. Don’t want to leave it to chance?  You can purchase tickets at their website.

Win a $20 Seamless Gift Card

It’s been a big month for the online food delivery company formerly known as Seamless Web.  They dropped the “Web” from their name and recently opened up nominations for the “Craved Restaurant Awards”, to honor the best restaurants that deliver via Seamless… information we probably wouldn’t have passed along, if they hadn’t offered to give two of our readers $20 gift cards!  (The things we’ll do to get you people free food.)   All you have to do to enter to win one of the gift cards is post your favorite lunch spot to order delivery from. (Don’t believe in delivery?  Just post any random comment and you’ll still be entered to win… although, it would make us wonder why somebody who hates delivery would want to win $20 worth of delivery.)   Limit one entry per person, winners will be chosen at random next Monday, October 17th at 5pm EST.

Sweetery & Cupcake Stop Both Giving Away Office Parties: Two high profile food trucks are giving away two big prizes this week.  Help name the Cupcake Stop's two trucks via Twitter and you can win one of two free office parties for up to 100 people (with complimentary cupcakes, natch) or win a very similar prize from the Sweetery NYC Truck for commenting on their Facebook page. The Sweetery contest ends a month from today, Cupcake Stop's ends on Friday.
