Penn Plates is Another UrbanSpace Food Fest
I recently stumbled upon another food market in the vein of Broadway Bites and the Garment District. This one is slightly hidden above Penn Station between 33rd and 34th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. It’s smaller than the other two, but that sometimes helps narrow down the choices.
The vendors are mostly repeats from other markets, like Roberta’s, Black Iron Burger, and Mmm Enfes. The new ones here include Calexico (which is a staple at the out-of-bounds Madison Square Eats), Kartoffel (frites and sausages), and Uma Temakeria (hand-rolled sushi). Once again, the prices seem rather over-priced like at the other popular food markets. I was there before lunch when it was spacious and quiet, but I also imagine it gets quite crowded since there are not many good options in this immediate area.
Unlike the other seasonal markets nearby, this one will operate daily through November.

33rd to 34th, between 7th and 8th Aves? Does that mean it’s on the south side of 34th and the north side of 33rd?
