Midtown Lunch

For the past few years, Southwest Porch (40th+6th) has been a good outdoor option on beautiful days: burgers, beer, and porch swings. But anyone who has passed by over the past few months has seen work being done. They were undergoing renovations and it’s finally done complete with a revamped menu. The porch swings are out, bratwurst is in.

New menu items include The Porch Cheddar Burger ($10.79) which is made with Wrighteous Organic beef, aged Cheddar, and served on an English muffin; a Veggie burger ($9.64) for the vegetarian people amongst us; and the Grilled (Schaller & Weber) Bratwurst ($7.35) served up on a potato roll. They are still serving other items from ‘wichcraft’s menu, but I’ll be stopping by for the sausage. Evidently, the bar area wasn’t left out of the revamp–there are more wine and liquor options including a vodka watermelon drink ($11), plus seasonal beers being served up on tap ($7.35). Currently Peak Organics Summer Session Ale and Blue Point’s White IPA can be found for those of you wishing to openly enjoy a drink in the park.

The Southwest Porch is open from Noon to Midnight, every day at the SW corner of Bryant Park.
