Mamacita’s Halloween Happy Hour Roundup
For the second year in a row Halloween falls on a weekend. Manhattan is certainly a destination for Halloween revelry and many will be coming to see the Village Parade, but what if you are stuck in Midtown? You’d be surprised to know there are many places to go and enjoy the weekend long festivities. So grab a drink after work and check out these local hangouts offering libations and ghoulish good times.
Events Tonight! Friday Oct. 29th
Halloween Happy Hour Pub Crawl
The annual Halloween bar crawl starts tonight. Three days and over 100 New York City bars are participating. $20 admission per night, but a 3 day pass is only $30. Your wrist band includes a variety of bar specials and $2 Bud & Bud Light drafts, 2 for 1 well drinks, plus no cover charges at participating bars.

The Fiddler is having an all weekend long celebration. Starting Friday, there will be a costume contest downstairs in their “Vault” room. Cash prizes and other fun giveaways. Happy hour is 12 to 8pm with $4 drafts and $5 well drinks and sangria every day of the week, plus “scary drink specials.” Bite down on one of their juicy sliders while your there.

Third and Long is kicking off the weekend tonight with a happy hour of $4.00 Domestic draft beers and mixed well drinks from 5pm-9pm. Saturday is Prohibition Night and patrons are urged to dress up in 20-30s costumes and drink special include $2.00 on all beers on tap (*except premium brands) from 12pm-7pm.
Saturday, Oct 30th Specials

Saturday they will host a costume contest for the grand prize of $500 dollars. To top that they will have an open bar from 9pm to 12am!
Love vodka drinks? On Saturday Aspen has a 1 hour vodka open bar from 9 to 10pm. Their Djs will be blasting the tunes and to add to the festivities there will be prizes for costumes, naturally.

According to Overlook, “The time has come once again to show us the sexiest, silliest, scariest costume you can come up with.” The costume contest prizes are a $250 bar tab for best overall costume, $100 bar tab for best couple costume, and $100 bar tab for sexiest costume.

Wharf Bar’s taco night has pretty much endeared them to my heart. For Saturday night dress up in your best costume to win a $200 gift card. There will be $3.50 Drafts all day, and $3 shots of something sweet that will inevitably make you regret it the next morning called the “Monster Mash.” Dj’s will be playing all night and a game called “bobbing for applesauce” will be held.

Saturday starting at 9pm there will be a costume contest: 1st Prize gets a $100 bar tab, 2nd Prize a bottle of Crystal Head vodka, and 3rd Prize a 12 pack of PBR! They have a pool table in the back plus there will be games, prizes & drink specials all night. On Sunday, Halloween Night, there will also be drink specials plus they have outfitted their “Haunted” photo booth to look a little like the castle from Rock Horror (to me at least –check it out and let me know what you think!)
