Win Tickets to the Grand Gourmet: The Flavor of Midtown

If you like giant tasting events, Midtown’s biggest is coming up at the end of the month… It’s the 10th Annual Grand Gourmet: The Flavor of Midtown, presented by the Grand Central Partnership, and it will feature dishes from over 30 Midtown restaurants- including ML favorites the Grand Central Oyster Bar, Murray’s Cheese, Naples 45 and a ton more.  It all goes down April 29th from 7 to 9:30pm at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central. Tickets are $75, but we’ve got a pair to give away to one lucky Midtown Luncher. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below letting us know what free samples you’d be most excited to house at the event (a full list of participating restaurants can be found here.) The winner will be drawn at random on Monday, April 19th at Noon.

Don’t want to leave it to chance? You can buy your tickets for the event here.

Magnolias is a part of my regular diet (boo for cupcakes, yes for banana pudding and mini-tarts)!

Unfortunately, steaks are not part of my regular diet. Please help me add more steak to my diet! : )

  • Uhm, yeah, I’m gonna go with the Oyster Bar people. :)

Boullaibase from the Grand Central Oyster Bar and fried chicken from Aretsky’s Patroon

  • I’d like any of the steakhouses and Ruby Foo’s, since my boyfriend doesn’t like anything on the menu, so I’m never getting there myself.

All I saw was blah, blah, blah. But there was one glowing — obvious pick: Chipotle! I’d like tickets to prove that, if a duel did happen to break out, the man wielding the giant burrito would win against whatever food weapons the other vendors are meekly offering. Unless of course, Chik-fil-A was to miraculously show up offering a deliciously powerful chicken nugget slingshot.

    • What’s the deal? Are you like sponsored by Chik-fil-A? I mean we love our Chik-fil-A down in Houston, but seriously? Do they ship you some nuggets every time you shoot their name out? However, I whole heartedly feel your sentiments. I could use a little more Chik-fil-A in my life. Jack in the Box for that matter.

  • I’m not sure which one of these places it might be, but I’ve heard of this hidden bar in GC that has excellent martinis. I’d like one of those and a couple dozen oysters from Oyster bar, please. And then, a banana pudding from you-know-where.

    La Fonda del Sol!

  • I’ve had many a drink at the Wheeltapper (great place). Would love to finally try their food; as well as all of the steak houses!
