The Magnoliafication of Midtown Continues
After months of construction on the former Little Pie Company space, the Magnolia Bakery at Grand Central Terminal is open for business. They officially opened on Saturday but are still working out the kinks and figuring out hours. Tourists and fans of mediocre cupcakes rejoice! The rest of us should be prepared for hordes of gawkers ogling the cupcake frosting rituals.

that was so long ago though..i guess it keeps tourists happy…they choose prime locations for their stores. I have to say, magnolia banana pudding is so good, but i got the recipe, so i refuse to buy it

considering the majority of americans grew up with boxed cake mix, the popularity of magnolias does not surprise me. even for convenience’s sake, they’re just not worth it!
the cupcakes at Duke’s look better – anyone ever have them? I just can’t justify eating something as big as my face. sigh.

it’s like eating a handful of sugary butter. soft, sweet and wrong. so so wrong.
