Ted’s Montana Grill Gets the DOH
Lunch’er “Melani” reported yesterday that Ted’s Montana Grill (on 50th btw. 6+7th) was closed by the DOH, and Eater confirms it with a photo. Thankfully it wasn’t evidence of live mice riding the mechanical bull or anything like that, but just permit issues… no word on when it will reopen. UPDATE: Whoops… confused Ted’s Montana Grill with Johnny Utah’s. Those places all blend together after awhile…

I went to Ted’s once and mistakenly ordered the salmon. I was trying to be healthy that day and didn’t want a burger that I knew couldn’t stand up to Carnegie John’s, Five Guys or Burger Joint. It was the worst thing ever. First it came crusted in a layer of salt that rendered it inedible. Then it came out not cooked enough, then it came out cooked but just bland as hell and quite fishy. Took about an hour to get it right.
