Ippolito’s Seafood Sandwiches

Ippolito’s is a casual seafood spot in South Philly. They will clean and cut freshies for you to take home and prepare, and they offer a menu of food, like fish sandwiches and sushi. Since the rain has finally stopped, take your lunch to Columbus Square park one block north and eat at one of the benches.

Prime Stache in Old City

So some local foozball player opened an American bistro in Old City last Spring (obviously I am an avid sports fan). Its a pretty straight forward menu with a solid cocktail list. They are open for lunch/brunch Wednesday through Sunday.

Thoughts on the Best Value Lobster Roll in Philly

Yesterday’s post on Luke’s Lobster got me thinking about lobster rolls around town. Specifically, which is the best value. There is nothing like the luxurious feeling of having a mouth full of lobster meat like a boss. For me, it isn’t JUST about the juicy, sweet lobster meat.  Because I am really nobody’s boss. EfFISHient Food Court Seafood Platters from Under the C at the Comcast Center

Since I judge how awesome or crappy a job is based on the food options within its vicinity,  the Comcast Center is not a bad place to work. I dropped by the food court in the basement of the Comcast Center for my first time ever and decided to take a risk and order food court seafood, because yolo or I was just in the mood for seafood. Under the C seafood sells raw fish and crustaceans, a good sign that their prepared meals might actually be fresh.

The Capital Grille’s Summer Plates

This week I was invited back by The Capital Grille to try out their new summer additions to their $18 plates menu.

I am always so happy when The Capital Grille invites me back to try out their seasonal plates. The “plates” deal is always the same, $18 for an appetizer, entree, and a side dish. Every few months new seasonal menu items are added.  The perfect truffle fries and lobster roll are still on the “plates” menu and as hard as they were to forgo, I wanted to try the new items.
