Get 55% off K’Town’s Arang: Arang might not be open for lunch anymore, but they're still one of the best places to hang out for some after work eats. Clay was particular fond of their katsu.  Want to check it out for yourself?  You can get $40 worth of food at Arang, for just $18 on our deals page.

Shake Shack’s March Custard Calendar is Up: The March custard calendar is up at Shake Shack and features Salty Chocolate Peanut Butter on Monday, Rootbeer Freeze on Tuesday, S'mores on Weds, Buttery Caramel Cocoa Nib on Thursday, and Maple Bacon Banan-za on Friday (a curious choice considering we're smack dab in the middle of Lent. Mint Chocolate Chip and Fluffernutter round out the weekend.

Free Macaron Alert!: Just noticed this on our Downtown site... Financier Patisserie is giving away free macarons this morning until 11:30am.  Freeloaders, you have just 30 minutes to get over there and score your freebie.  There are four locations in Midtown.

‘wichcraft Opening Two Kiosks in the NYPL Today: If you've always wanted to eat lunch in the New York Public Library, your prayers have been answered.  Two 'wichcraft kiosks are opening in the NYPL today, after visitors and patrons requested the ability to buy food and drinks inside the library. Neither kiosk will sell anything you can't get from the locations in Bryant Park so the news it not so much for Midtown's lunchers as it's for Midtown's readers, who are too lazy to go outside for food.

Free Shake Shack Custard Alert: Thanks to Lunch'er Daisy for tipping us off to this on the Shake Shack Facebook page: "A little something extra for you on this extra day...we’re gifting a complimentary scoop of custard to each guest as you pick up your order at all US [Shake] Shacks. Still Curious About Don Antonio?: Our man Chris loved the panini at the newly opened Don Antonio, one of the few items under $10 at the new Hell's Kitchen pizza spot. Curious about some of their other stuff? Eater has a Good News/Bad News on the place. Spoiler Alert: It's mostly good... unless you've been to the original in Naples.

Is Today Crazy Pizza Deals Day?: Not only is there the 99 cent special at Pronto, but Pizza by Cer Te (on 56th btw. Park+Lex) is doing another one of their 2 for Tuesday deals today. 2 slices of margherita pizza are just $2 starting at Noon. And if you buy anything at the Grand Central Two Boots and say Happy Birthday, they'll give you a free #6 slice and a calendar (while supplies last.)

Snack Box Is Back: Snack Box, which was shuttered by the DOH in January, is once again open in Times Square. Although they're still not graded, the most recent inspection revealed they reduced their violation points down to just two (from a whopping 66), so even if you don't like the food you have to be impressed by their ability to clean up.

R.I.P. Manganaro’s: It looks like it's official.  The original Manganaro's Grosseria (on 9th Ave. btw 37+38th), whose honor we attempted to defend back in 2009, served their last lunch yesterday.  We think a brief moment of silence is in order (something the two ladies who ran the place, never afforded their customers!)  [via Jeremiah's Vanishing]

Twitter Tracker Isn’t Just Good For Food Trucks: Our Twitter Tracker isn't just good to find out where food trucks are parked, but also specials that different restaurants are offering.  Like a $6 coupon for the new Crisp in Greeley Square.  Also, Luke's Lobster is on 47th, Big D's is on 53rd, and Seoul Food is on 51st. But you'll definitely want to check the TT just before heading out.
