OBAO Opening Today For Lunch: OBAO, which opened for dinner on 53rd btw. 2+3rd on Monday, said they wouldn't be open for lunch until next week. But according to The Skinny Pig (via Eater), today is the day! AND word is, there is a special lunch menu with prices that are cheaper than the dinner menu. As soon as I get it, you will too.

I Guess Lucy’s Isn’t Serious Eats: The SENY crew hit up the one week old Lucy's Cantina Royale (on 34th and 8th) the other day and, to put it nicely, completely fucking hated the place in every way possible. Ouch. I think I'll reserve judgment until we hear back from our winner, but it's not looking good.

Is Woorijip Distancing Itself From Their Noodle Bar?: Woorijip is possibly my favorite place to eat at in K-Town, but nobody has had great things to say about their sporadically open noodle bar. The latest report from Blondie and Brownie reveals that they're now closed on Monday, only accept cash, and have their own punch cards. (Are they even owned by Woorijip?)

Mantao Accidentally Closes a Week Early?: Plenty to see on the ML Twitter Tracker this morning: Street Sweets is on 50th, but Wafels won't be open on 45th until 1:30pm (b/c of a private party). Papa Perrone and NYC Cravings are having truck issues, and Mantao claims they are closed through the 23rd "for the holidays" (though I can't help but think they just tweeted the wrong dates.)

Midtown is the Bee’s Knees, Baby!: Gawker disagrees, but according to an article in today's New York Observer Midtown is the new Downtown. It quotes a bunch of old people, and mentions places that I could never get into... but we do have a Momofuku now! And a new upscale European'ish McDonalds. Oh wait, nevermind. That last one is actually Downtown in Chelsea.

8th Ave. Red Mango Closes: It looks like the EV isn't the only place Pinkberry is beating up on the competition. Red Mango may have just opened a new location in Rock Center, but their original Midtown branch (on 8th Ave. btw. 45+46th) is now shuttered. I'm guessing the Pinkberry on 9th Ave. & 43rd didn't help (although I've always preferred RM.)

Can You Handle More, My Peach?: Now that the frenzied blogger dust has settled around the Ma Peche preview menu being served in the mezzanine of the Chambers Hotel (on 56th btw. 5+6th), Ed Levine checks in on Serious Eats: New York with a proper "review". He tries a few things you may not have read about yet, like the chicken soup and breakfast- available daily from 6:30 to 11am.
