Flatiron Lunch: Even the Vegetarian Subs at No. 7 Are Great

Every Friday we go south of the ML boundaries in search of a delicious lunch. Sometimes it’s Murray Hill south or the Flatiron District, sometimes Gramercy and everything in between- but we just like to call it Flatiron Lunch.

Last week’s post about Blue Dog got me thinking about (and craving) No. 7 Sub. I haven’t been in a while. They make, arguably, the best sub in Flatiron, if not NYC (not that I am looking to start a fight). They change their menu somewhat regularly so they probably had some new sandwiches to try. No. 7 Sub Has New Sandwiches, And Will Deliver Into Midtown

Great news for Midtown fans of No 7 Sub, who don’t have time to make it all the way down to the Ace Hotel during lunchtime (aka most of us.) Starting this week they’ve expanded their delivery radius all the way up to 45th street, 3rd ave to 8th ave. And they’ve added a few new sandwiches, like a cana de cabra cheese sub with broccoli sauce, pickled red onions, and fried chickpeas and a pork & shrimp chorizo sub with pickled rhubarb, sweet potatos, and cilantro. The only bad news? Delivery is only available after the lunch rush, from 2pm to 7pm Monday through Friday. So it’s really just available for a late lunch or early dinner. Ordering is available over the phone or through Delivery.com
