New York Mag’s Cheap Eats Singles Out Bi Lokma: This week's New York Magazine is dedicated to Cheap Eats, and once again Midtown is practically ignored.  But we did get one Midtown mention, and it's a good one... Bi Lokma, the casual Turkish place on 45th btw. 2+3rd.  NYM recommends the yogurt soup, the lamb doner with rice, and the ali nazik ($9.50), "a lush deposit of mashed eggplant topped with ground lamb, yogurt, and garlic sauce."

Steak N Shake is Coming to Midtown: Yesterday news broke that popular midwestern burger chain Steak 'N Shake would be coming to NYC, and today we find out that Midtown has won the crispy steakburger lottery!  Eater is now reporting that NYC's first Steak N Shake location will be located right next to David Letterman's Late Show theater on Broadway btw. 52+53rd (former home of Omido).

Chicken Parm Riceballs, Pulled Pork Pizza: Today's NYTimes says that food trucks are starting to look towards outer boroughs gatherings, but many are still right here in Midtown. Luke's Lobster is on 55th & B'way, Papa Perrone is on 55th with chicken parm riceballs, Eddie's Pizza is on 46th with pulled pork pizza, Kimchi Truck is on 47th & Lex, and Sweetery is on 50th btw. 6+7th. Treats Truck Offering Free Delivery on Wednesdays: Midtown has been Treats Truck-less for three weeks, but it looks like they're doing everything they can to help us addicts get our fix.  For a limited time only the Treats Truck will be offering free delivery in Midtown from Noon to 4pm every Wednesday. The only catch is there is a $10 minimum order, so gather up some officemates and call or email your order today.

Vendy Awards Crown Philly Champ: The 7th Annual Vendy Awards are still two months away, but over the weekend the first annual Philadelphia Vendy Awards were held, and soul food truck Gigi & Big R's took home the Vendy Cup.  Our very own Jamie was one of the judges, and you can check out her recap of the event over on the Philly section of our site.
