Two of Our Five Guys Locations Now Have Shakes!
As much as I like Five Guys, I always felt something was missing from my meals there: milkshakes! Well, they’re trying to let us be true to our gluttonous selves by adding shakes to the menu in certain stores, and in Five Guys style with various free add-ins.
Currently, the milkshakes are only available in select New York, New Jersey and (one) Virginia locations; only two of these are in Midtown, the one on West 42nd Street (btw 7th+8th) and the one on West 34th Street (btw 8th+9th). You are currently only able to have vanilla as a base–hopefully, this is only for the introduction. But you can add any and all of the ten mix-ins available: bacon, cherries, Oreo cookies, bananas, salted caramel, peanut butter, coffee, chocolate, malted milk and strawberries. For my introductory one, I went with chocolate and Oreo cookies, and the swirly results were delicious. The ice cream is perfectly creamy and thick, but not so thick you need a spoon to eat it, and there was enough chocolate to make me forget it was vanilla-based.
To go with the testing phase, Five Guys is holding a fun photo contest. Upload your shake creation via this website with the #ShareYourShake and you could be their weekly winner. Beware that the contest does end next Friday (the 25th). For more information on this and for a list of the other locations with shakes, click here.

I had the Oreo today in Yonkers and it was pretty awesome! Really really thick and creamy. I wanna try the rest of them eventually but they were pretty expensive. We didn’t order any additional drinks and it was 6 dollars for just the milkshake.
