Has the New York Philly Cheese Steak Cart Always Been There?
While roaming the streets of midtown the other day, I noticed a cart I had never seen before on the northwest corner of Park and 49th. At a glance, it looked like just another Halal cart, but then I noticed the name – New York Philly Cheese Steak. The menu has cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks at $8, but also a whole slew of Mexican offerings like tacos, quesadillas, tortas, etc. As I recently learned, you can find an alright cheesesteak on the street for $5 or $6, so the $8 price tag here leads me to believe that this might not be just another street cheesesteak. Is this place new? Has anyone tried it? Let us know in the comments…

That’s the El Rey Del Sabor cart. Got a couple of tacos there last week, and the guys running the truck mentioned they’d have cheesesteaks, soon, but would keep the old menu items. Guess they’ve changed their name, as well?
