Just Kidding! iCrepes is Now Closed
Thanks to Lunch’er “Hengde” for passing along this piece of interesting news… “New spot coming next to Schnitzel Express on 39th btw Broadway and 6th – “iCrepes”, which promises “Organic, Fresh, and Healthy Recipes Created By A Five Star Chef.” and touts menus being available on an iPad as the “new way to order”. Sounds gimmicky but maybe the crepes will be good, and hopefully not expensive.” In L.A. Zach wrote about a ramen place that uses iPad ordering, and it seemed to work out pretty well. Who knows… maybe this could be good?
Guess this place wasn’t too memorable! Completely forgot that we wrote about it last year, which means the signage that Lunch’er Hengde saw was actually of a closed iCrepes. RIP place we never knew, and completely forgot existed.

And it’s been open for a while now, tried it a few months ago, not bad, not great.

This is weird, this place was open for awhile a couple of months ago and it looked like it closed few weeks ago (every time I walked by during lunch there were only a couple of patrons inside).

Pretty sure this place went out of business rather than coming soon. It was always pretty empty, then one day I walked by and it was closed and they had taken out all the iPads. And then sometime in December or January they papered up the windows. I was hoping the papered windows were a sign something new was going to be opening.

Yea I read about this place in July, but never got a chance to go. I think it is out of business.

Just walked past the former iCrepes and there’s now a sign in the window that a new kosher pizza/pasta bar is coming soon.
Also noticed a new Pie Face is opening nearby on 39th & Bway (where Freshii used to be). Seems kind of close to the one they just opened on 7th Ave.
The title should be Schnitzel Express instead of Schnitzel & Things.
