  • They should really fix their horribly buggy site – I ran a truck search for around my office and got no results, re-ran it and got some results with delivery selected, but upon registering (which forces postal address verification) it then said delivery wasn’t available. I then reran the search for delivery from trucks and got RESTAURANTS. Twice.

It gave me a fresh search result when I opened a new Chrome tab… but it then gave 0 truck results.

Someone needs to fire whoever QAed the site and signed off on it.

  • Yeah dude – that’s a brutally poor site :(

  • This is a poor excuse for a website. 67 restaurants and between 0 and a handful of trucks.

The website brings to mind one of my favorite quotes from Billy Madison, “what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”

We apologize for the technical difficulties, the new site just launched this morning so there are a few bugs that we are still working out.

Restaurants and food trucks vary by location, anywhere in Midtown there are usually between 65 and 100 restaurants to order from, and about 10-20 food trucks to pick up from.

In addition to the restaurants mentioned above, we have about 30 more restaurants offering exclusive discounts from 5% to 20% off for FoodtoEat customers, anytime.

    • So you launched a site with bugs that still need to be worked out and no real concrete arrangement with the food trucks to begin with?

Hang on, lemme go make some popcorn.

  • Yeah this was definitely not a very good launch.

It is funny how there is a seamless web advertisement between the article and comments.

Hopefully food to eat can get their act together before it is too late.

  • I tried to give these guys another chance. I logged on again and saw 0 food trucks and still only 67 restaurants (versus 1,000s for seamless).

I might try again in a few months but I think it is going to be tough for these guys to succeed. Please prove me wrong as it would be nice to have other online choices other than seamless.

What area are you in? Our food trucks change locations daily, but most are concentrated in Midtown and the Financial District. Most of our food trucks are available during breakfast and lunch hours for pickup only. Online ordering is still a new concept for food trucks, so they are figuring out how to make it work with their previous systems.

In six months we’ve come a long way with restaurants, but we know we have much more work to do. If you have any favorite restaurants you would like to recommend than please shoot us an email at info@foodtoeat.com

Thanks for your feedback about our site, we’ll take your ideas into account.
