Free Cupcake Alert
We don’t know nothing about Fashion Week, but we’ll take some after work free cupcakes! Tonight at 6pm the Cupcake Stop Truck will be in front of the Guess Store on 5th Ave. and 47th Street handing out hundreds of free cupcakes for Fashion’s Night Out. Freeloaders, prepare to engage.

Thing is (to continue my rant–sorry, I know it’s kind of pathetic to be mad about a cupcake), even if it turns out that you guys posted the wrong thing, I think they should have sucked it up until they had a chance to check it out and correct it, even at risk of running out of free cupcakes before the last customer marched out of Guess. Because now I won’t go there again–in fact, the whole little incident drove me straight to Magnolia (Grand Central) on the way home (where I scored the last 2 cupcakes of the day).

Just wanted to personally apologize. And no it’s not pathetic to be pissed. I’d be pissed too.
We posted what they sent us…, and there was absolutely no mention of needing a receipt. Taking it up with them now…

I went there about 6:15 p.m. last night, waited about 3 minutes and got a free cupcake with no receipt. They must have enforcing the receipt rule at some point later on.

work on 5th in the 40’s passed by to get the and there was this guy telling people they needed a receipt, bad job by the store and by the truck.

I got there before 6 since I wanted to run home right afterwards, but the truck came late. As we were on line they said that you needed a receipt to get it, but since this lady in front argued about the discrepancy those of us who were on line at the time got our free cupcakes.
They were red velvet and cute with the Guess logo on top.

good idea, i had the misfortune to try them a while back and because of that horrible wagon i swear off of cupcakes for ever. try kelvin slush or sweetery two great choices, always delicious + friendly servers
Waited on line, only to be told by those buttercream brains that you had to have a receipt from Guess to get a cupcake, and that they “didn’t know about Midtown Lunch.”
