Caracas-born Cesar Vegas brings Venezuelan to midtown with this takeout spin-off of his popular Williamsburg restaurant, Shachi’s. You’ll find the original 12 arepas—including shredded beef, black beans and cheese, and chorizo and cheese—on this abbreviated menu of snacks, soups and entrées. Plus, this location offers a few unconventional varieties, such as the Italian (pesto pastry, Parmesan, mozzarella, tomato), the Mexican (red bell pepper, white cheddar, guacamole) and Mi Negra (black-bean sauce, plantains, cheddar cheese).
