Blogger Proclaims Cafe Duke’s Pizza “The Best”

Bold (and often ridiculous) food claims are what NYC Food Guy (aka Lunch’er Lawerence aka Superman) is all about, so we’ll take this one with a grain of salt.  Apparently the spicy chicken pizza from Cafe Duke (on 51st btw. 6+7th) is the best non-restaurant pizza in all of Midtown. Now, you know we love their Korean food…. and their fake shrimp… and their occasional soft shelled crabs.  But is this really the best we can do for pizza?  Feel free to defend or refute his claim in the comments.

  • I have never eaten at Duke either. I have passed by it from time to time.

AND don’t let ever POPPIE laydown on your couch!

It’s pizza to me, even if it’s weird toppings. Whatever. Give me BULGOGI pizza!!!

  • i have to agree, duke pizza is actually really really good, for a deli. i especially like the fact that they offer a whole wheat version for the same price. and they offer a smaller pie for $1 less (and yes, u can get ww for that too). i find the smaller pie is a good deal at $6.95. i like the pesto pizza with carmelized onions and asiago cheese, but my coworkers like the margherita and the bbq chicken ones.

and this is coming from a person who doesnt even like duke that much.. bc its wayy overpriced!
