Cafe Zaiya Reorganizes; Adds Warm Ice Cream
Stopped into Cafe Zaiya (on 41st btw. Mad+5th) yesterday just to see what was going on (I can’t resist whenever I’m in the area), and noticed a couple of things. First off, they’ve moved all the check out registers to the new coffee/shave ice/frappe/ice cream area (where the Beard Papa used to be.) I don’t know if it was my imagination, or the fact that it was a slow Monday, but things seemed to be a little less hectic.
I also spotted a sign for their latest offering, which seems perfect for winter… warm ice cream!?!
I guess ice cream with warm toppings is more accurate. Warm apples, sweet potatoes, caramel sauce, or berries. I like it. I like it alot.

What is the best way to petition Cafe Zaiya to start carrying these kind of Japanese desserts:

My favorite one is made is made w/vanilla ice cream, whip cream, strawberries, bananas, strawberry pocky, corn flakes, and what looks like strawberry soda. They also have green tea and chocolate ones.
These are so good and as someone who loves desserts, I would skip out on breakfast everyday just to enjoy one of these for lunch. Should I just email them so that they can offer these awesome creations? (There is more power in numbers.) I mean…is there, truly, a better way to enjoy icream and fruit?
warm sweet potato w/caramel sauce on vanilla ice cream?? hmm… mmmmmmmm. I think I can get down with that.
