3rd Ave. Golden Krust to Become Lebanese NAYA Express
We’ve gotten word that come September the now shuttered Golden Krust, on 3rd. Ave. btw. 43+44th, will become NAYA Express- a cheaper version of the fancy Lebanese restaurant NAYA Mezze & Grill on 2nd Ave. From the owner: “It is going to be 80% of NAYA’s Lebanese Menu with some addition and much less expensive. Sandwiches will range from $5 to $8. Appetizers between $4 and $8.” That could be interesting…

Finally, some great news! This is a bright day for East Side lunching!
I’ve never had anything from NAYA Mezze & Grill, but all I have to say is:
NAYA 4 LIFE -
Lebanese food,,,,,,will give you the Shi’ites.
:) sry.

The Lebanese make extensive use of curry, right?
-
Stop that Fred! They do not! It may be in some dishes, but it’s not used heavily to my knowledge like in Indian food!

Alright something different…Lebanese food.
Gotta be better than paying high prices for a beef patty. Ugh.

Excited about this.
Dishes of all places periodically has Lebanese spiced rice that I think is great – so looking forward to exploring what NAYA will offer. Didn’t know about their place on 2nd.

NAYA is well respected in the community and this outpost should be dope. The Lebanese are the maestros of Middle Eastern cuisine.
-
Curry in Lebanese food? Really? No.

Agree with C-Logic: Lebanese cooking is the best in the mid-east

SWEET! I have been waiting for some lebanese to hit manhattan after that Diners Drive Ins and Dives segment on a lebanese diner a few months back. I’ve only had a couple of lebanese specialties in my life, but would certainly love to add more to my regular rotation if I can get it easily…More Kibi for Goats!!!!!!
