First Look: Five Guys Burgers Midtown

It’s official.  The Five Guys on 55th btw. 5+6th has been completed and is planning on opening a week from tomorrow.  Here’s your first look at the interior… (you can see the giant bags of peanuts stacked up in the back, which they give out free for your meal.)

Mark in on your calendars… Thursday, October 25th.  I’ll be the fat guy in the corner, taking a picture of his double cheeseburger with sauteed mushrooms & onions (and bag of fries of course).

Is this the same 5 Guys from the DC/VA area? I used to eat at their Old Town location (off of King Street?) and it was very tasty!

I live a block away fromthe 5 Guys in Brooklyn Heights, but haven’t been in there yet, mainly because I’m not a burger fan, though I do need to try their grilled cheese + fries.

Had them in DC and V.good.

Sadly the interior looks like a Russian UID clinic.

    Don’t ask.

    Can’t wait.

BTW, Le Pain Quotidien on 40th between 5th and 6th (across from Bryant Park) is now open and way too expensive for Midtown Lunch.

It sounds great to hear another warm welcome from the Apple. I live in Virginia and I’m a trainer for the corporation. I opened the Five Guys in Brooklyn, and I’ll also be opening the Manhattan store this week. I can’t wait to once again see the smiles of pure satisfaction on our guests faces. Is it obvious that I love my job?

    See ya in the city!
