Indian Fast Food is back… still waiting on bulgogi sandwiches & Sophie’s Cuban, plus Midtown Links & the end of the week wrap up!
Keep your comments and emails coming… they are the lifeblood of the site, and the way I find out about changes and additions to what’s going on with Midtown Lunch’ing. Sure I wander around aimlessly like a loser during lunchtime looking for my own stuff, but the emails and comments are huge in helping me cover more ground. Here is some news to report based on some recent comments. None of it has been confirmed with my own eyes, so if you have any corrections or additions feel free to comment:
According to Peggy on Tuesday, the Indian Fast Food Cart on 53rd & Park is back! It had been missing for awhile… so if it is indeed back, we are happy to hear it.
According to a friend of mine who was shut out last Friday, Arang no longer does buffet. It does, however, do 50% off hand rolls now. But if the sushi is anything like that at the buffet, it’s probably not worth a trip here. Sighh another cheap option gone for us fatsos.
A blow for us fatsos indeed! Hopefully this one isn’t true… at $10, this was easily my favorite buffet in Midtown.
News about Bulgogi sandwiches, Sophie’s Cuban, Midtown Links about stuff you want to know about, and the end of week wrap up (which includes a hint about Monday’s bombshell post!!!!)… ALL AFTER THE JUMP-
Bulgogi sandwiches supposedly made an appearance this week on Tuesday- but by the time I got down there to the Korean Food Cart on 49th btw. 6th & 7th, the cart was gone. They assured me on Wednesday that they would have them next week. We’ll see. I did have the bulgogi again, and I am happy to report that they have fixed the rice problem, added onions to the bulgogi and in addition to a free soda and kimchee, they also give you a stick of gum! (All for $5 bucks… not bad)
A call to Sophie’s Cuban got me the same answer I’ve been getting for the past two weeks… “3 more weeks”. Lord knows when this place will open up… but when it does I’ll be there, and you’ll know about it.
