Beef Noodle Soup at Bap

I liked the healthy and cheap bibimbap bowls served at the teeny Korean place, Bap, on South Street. Since the opening last year they have added 2 items to their small bibimbap menu- Korean pancakes and beef noodle soup.

How About Reuben Tacos: A Revisit to Quetzally

When Quetzally opened on 12th and Fitzwater in 2013, I was slightly obsessed with how this tiny, unassuming spot delivered authentic Mexican plates for cheap without me having to cross Washington Ave. For real, I kept bothering my friends to check it out with me. When we arrived for a revisit,  I was thrilled to find a revamped menu, with creative tacos I would have never expected.

Unique Bouquet Cafe Open on South Street West

Snowy enough for you? Is what your corny neighbor would say. Not me though. I am cool. But it’s totally soup weather, so I grabbed some homemade soup of the day from Unique Bouquet Cafe. The Cafe opened last week on South Street West and is still ironing out the kinks. For example, receipts were handwritten and it took a bit of time after I ordered a sandwich to be told they were out of the main ingredient. Hence why I only got soup.

Hippot Shabu Shabu

I remember watching the sign go up for Hippot this fall, not particularly excited for another Shabu Shabu place in Chinatown. But the sub $9 lunch special advertised outside the restaurant was too good to not at least try once.
