Get Lucky at Millesime This Week: For Valentine's Day, the French restaurant Millesime (which is way out of our price range and technically in the Flatiron (on Madison btw. 28+29th) is offering a lunch special this entire week. According to Eater, you can get a 2-for-1 deal at lunch if you kiss your dining partner. Sure, you may make things awkward between you and that co-worker you like to lunch with. But if you've been wanting to try Millesime, but didn't want to pay full price, this week is your big chance.

1913 Pricing at Grand Central Restaurants/Shops today!: This may not be "freeloaders, proceed at maximum warp - engage!" but it's damn near close. A bunch of Grand Central shops and restaurants are, for limited time periods today, taking their prices back down to 1913 levels. 19-cent shrimp, 10-cent fries, and 75-cent cocktails? Our own Sarah Zilinski was onsite this AM and reported Zaro's was already out of rye and planning a restock. Most of these options will be in Vanderbilt Hall, but no tables were set up as of earlier this AM. Get any good Grand Central deals? Tell us in the comments!

Steak & Crepes Midtown Schedule: The new cheesesteak cart that I gushed about last week doesn't pop up on the twitter tracker much, but according to a stop by the cart the other day, they will aim for 46th and 6th on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 47th and Park on Fridays.

Did TD Bank Get Inspired by Midtown Lunch? Probably Not: Honored doesn't really cover how we felt yesterday to see Robert Sietsema wondering on Fork in the Road if the folks at TD Bank were finding their advertising inspiration on the pages of Midtown Lunch. Sadly, Andrea points out on the Downtown section of the site why they probably didn't. Thanks Andrea, but we'll stick to believing what Robert wrote! And TD Bank, we'll take our royalties in the form of kofta sandwiches.

Daheen Wang Mandoo is Now Open!: Just got word from Lunch'er Daniel that Daheen Wang Mandoo, the new Korean dumpling place on 32nd btw. 5+6th, is open for business. According to him "the Mandoo buns are $2 each, as opposed to Food Gallery 32 across the street, which charges $2.50 each. [And] the buns they're offering are beef, chicken, chicken curry, kimchi, shrimp and pizza but no pork" for some unknown reason. Early adopters, let us know how it is in the comments.

Food Truck Crackdown Continues in the City: Despite showing their heroism in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, food trucks are continuing to be harassed by the NYPD. Grub Street mentioned that both Phil's Steaks and Seoul Food were towed from Union Square last week, an area heavily populated with trucks. Let's hope the trucks in Midtown start spreading out (meaning not congregating on one street) to prevent the same thing from happening here.

Today’s the Last Day for the Bryant Park Holiday Market: After today it will be a year before you'll be able to taste Daisy's Grits or noodles from Crepe Café in Midtown. The Holiday Market at Bryant Park closes up shop after today and takes all the great food vendors with them. We documented the food options in our holiday video, so be sure to check it out before heading out to eat today. The crowds are mostly gone, so you can enjoy your arepa or churro in peace today.

It’s Looking Like Ming Du Might Be Gone For Good: After years and years of being shut down by the DOH and then bouncing back, Ming Du has gone completely dark. The doors are all blacked out, and you gotta peek around the former serving/assembly area to see inside. There's nobody in the space at all and there's a sign in Chinese in the window in addition to the one below the DoH closure notice. I'm going to make weekly passes by to see what's up but if anyone finds anything out, post up your details here and we'll investigate!
