Gelato Sandwiches: On the ML Twitter Tracker today... Cravings is on 48th, Rickshaw Dumplings is on 45th, Cupcake Stop is on 52nd, the Dutchy is on 51st, and Street Sweets is over on 11th Ave. until 3:30pm serving up their brand new (and kind of redundant sounding) "Gelato Ice Cream Sandwiches".  Could be good!

Adventures in Cherry Picking: Last Wednesday, New York Times critic Sam Sifton gave Mia Dona, the fancy Italian joint on 58th btw. 2+3rd, zero stars... but he did call their meatballs- the ones they sell from a cart in front of the restaurant during lunch- "terrific". So what did the restaurant do?  Put up a sandwich board in front of the restaurant with the quote, of course.

Boi Noodles Postpones Grand Opening: Boi Noodles, the pho and banh mi shop set to open today on 40th btw. 7+8th has decided to hold off their Grand Opening.  They'll be opening on Monday (5/24) instead.

Z-Deli Still Serving Up $1 Slices: The new 2 Bros Pizza opening on 46th street this week is exciting, but for those of you a little farther west Z-Deli is still serving up slices for a buck. Same rules apply as when Zach first visited, they have much lower turnover than other dollar slice places so ask for a fresh pie or linger until you see one coming out of the oven.
