Free Waffle Alert (w/ a Side of Backward Sunglasses): Next Thursday (6/17), Guy Fieri will be in Herald Square (on 34th and 6th) handing out free waffles from 6am to Noon, and the first 50 people who print this invite out, and bring it to the table, will get a free goodie back. [via Eater]

Free Riceballs, Pizza Toppings, and Bahamian Food: Today is the last day to get free food from the Bahamas Truck. They're on 40th and 6th... also on the ML Twitter Tracker: the ESPN Match Truck hit the street today with food from Kogi, Eddie's Pizza is in the Flatiron with free toppings, Rickshaw is on 45th, Wafels and Frites N Meats are on 52nd, Treats Truck is on 45th, and Schnitzel is on 52nd with 100 free rice balls.

Free Pizza Starts at Noon: On the ML Twitter Tracker today... everybody is abuzz about the proposed new City Council law and is urging fans to sign the petition. But buy food too! Cravings is on 53rd, Frites is in the Flatiron, Wafels is on 46th, Schnitzel is on 48th, and Eddie's Pizza Truck is on 40th and the free pizza giveaway starts at Noon (and will likely end pretty quickly.)

Your Creation May End up on 4Food’s Menu: 4Food is still a month from opening- but Eater talked to one of their reps yesterday and the it's one of those you have to read it to believe it kind of interviews. Our favorite? You will be able to create your own burger, market it on Facebook and Twitter, and get a 25 cent food credit every time somebody purchases it. The future is now, people!

Brace Yourself… ESPN Zone Is Closing: Food trucks aren't the only endangered species in Midtown these days. The LA Times is reporting that Disney plans on shuttering all ESPN Zones not connected to a Disney property... although these days 42nd Street feels practically like Disney World, so maybe Midtown's location is safe. “Furious” Pete Wins GGC Eating Championship: On Saturday, "Furious" Pete Czerwinski dispatched returning champ "Gentleman" Joe Manchetti at the 2nd Annual Go Go Curry Eating Championship. Our man "Big" Will Millender came in 3rd. Metromix was there, and posted these photos from the event.
