PROFILE: Philly Luncher “Christina”

Though we have been lacking volunteers lately, on certain Tuesdays we turn over the site to a different lunch’er for his or her recommendations for the best lunch in Philadelphia. This week it’s Christina, a student and freelancer.

Name: Christina

Age: 26

Occupation: I’m a full time student and part time freelancer

Where in Philly do you Work?: School is up at Temple

Favorite Kind of Food: I really love Italian food. I also really love more unhealthy food like pizza, burgers, and french fries.

Least Favorite Kind of Food: I can’t handle spicy food.

Favorite Place(s) to Eat Lunch in Philly: Anything cheap and delicious. Street Food Philly has my favorite burger in the city.

“Go-To” Lunch Place You and Your Coworkers Eat at Too Often? I’m usually on campus so I like the Green Truck and the falafel cart across from the Student Center. Sometimes, I travel over to Street Food Philly.

Place you discovered thanks to Philly Lunch (if any) I pretty much use Philly Lunch to find the best items on menus around the city. Midtown Lunch inspired me to try out items on food trucks around Temple’s campus. Some of my favorites are the fries from Sammy Chon’s KTown Express (W. Montgomery and 13th) and the buffalo chicken cutlet wrap from Plaza Pizza (1600 N. Broad St.).

If you could work anywhere (just because of the lunch) where would it be and why? I would love to have a job in Chicago. One the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten was at Bourgeiois Pig in Lincoln Park.

Is there anything you’d like to ask the Philly Lunch readers?  What’s the best restaurant in your neighborhood?
