Does TD Bank’s Ad Agency Owe This Site Some Thanks?

Yesterday it came to our attention that TD Bank has a new ad up in the subway touting the fact that you can get a kofta sandwich from a truck in this city. Well, Robert Sietsema over at Village Voice food blog Fork in the Road wonders if perhaps the ad writers cribbed from Midtown Lunch to come up with this copy. As flattering as that thought is, all you’d have to do is troll Twitter or Google a bit to come up with that particular mobile food item.

Look Past The Burgers At Marrakech Chefs Truck

I kind of love it when new trucks pop up without a hype machine (or even a Twitter account) behind them, so that you have no idea what they’re even serving until you physically go check it out. That was the case with the Marrakech Chefs truck last week, with a lunch’er tipping me off that some new truck was parked way down in the Financial District selling burgers. Marrakech Chefs Truck Burns Up The Streets With Its Fusion-tastic Menu

A lunch’er tipped me off that there was a new burger truck parked down on Water St. & Old Slip yesterday and that didn’t really get me excited. I mean how many fancy burger trucks do we need roaming the streets? But then I spotted the Marrakech Chefs truck (looking like it was engulfed in flames) and found  that the burgers were the least exciting items on the menu. Check it out after the jump.
