Bluestone Lane Coffee Opening Soon With Aussie-Tinged Offerings

We got word in June that Bluestone Lane Coffee would be opening on Broad St. near Exchange Place. The shop will serve coffee including Australian flat whites along with food items and snacks such as an avocado smash toast. A location of the Melbourne-influenced shop recently opened in Midtown and had a cheap coffee special for ML readers and they’re doing the same for us. You can get a $1 cup of coffee on Oct. 2 when they open the doors. See the opening food menu after the jump.  Read more »

Australian-Style Coffee, Snacks Coming To Broad St.

We got a serious coffee shop in the Financial District when Blue Spoon opened on William St., but those of you in the bottom part of the neighborhood have mostly had to settle for the chain places.

Word is that Bluestone Lane Coffee will bring Australian-style caffeinated beverages and food to 30 Broad St. in August or early September after opening a first location in Midtown East. The company will carry a rotating variety of roasters and teas, along with snacks from Balthazar, Bondi Bikkies (Aussie style cookies) and Downtown Cookie Company, as well as something called the “signature house-made avocado smash.” Personally, I’m in favor of any coffee source that doesn’t end in “bucks.”
