Get Your Homemade Soup Fix At Blue Spoon Coffee

Some of you have wondered in the comments how some of the other offerings at Blue Spoon Coffee are, and I’ve forgotten to investigate. The second location at William & Platt (the original’s on Chambers btw. Broadway & Church) has been my go-to for a cup of coffee or breakfast goods when I’m strapped for time, and it seems they either make everything themselves or source the food from good purveyors in the city.

I really like the vegetarian sandwich I got there after the FiDi location opened, and this time, on a cold and windy day, I went for one of the three soups they have on rotation each day.  Read more »

Checking Out Blue Spoon’s Made-To-Order Sandwiches

Those of you who work near City Hall may already be familiar with Blue Spoon Coffee Co. which has had a location on Chambers St. (btw. Broadway & Church) for a few years serving good coffee and sandwiches, salad and soup come lunch time. The second location opened on William St. (at Platt) two weeks ago, and just started serving lunch with the same menu as the first shop. You might want to first go there for the fancy Intelligentsia coffee they’re brewing or for the various breakfast items like Balthazar pastries, bagels and oatmeal, but you also may be interested in the sandwiches which, instead of festering in a refrigerated case, are made to order.

Blue Spoon Coffee To Open Second Location Next Week

Word on the street, aka Twitter, is that Blue Spoon Coffee’s second location is opening Monday on William St. (at Platt). They’ve had a location on Chambers St. for a while, serving Intelligentsia coffee, breakfast items and hot and cold sandwiches and soup come lunch time. The location in the Financial District will eventually have a full menu, but for now we’ll have to settle for fancy coffee and baked goods.
